I got into merchandising because I like the part of retail most people don't see — the assortment decisions, the vendor negotiations, the fixture and website layouts that have to actually convert, and the consumer behavior behind why someone buys. I started in the industry at 16, and 20 years later, that's grown into a career leading category management and retail merchandising for a multi-brand portfolio spanning hundreds of locations nationwide.
In that role, I've managed thousands of active SKUs, built and maintained dozens of vendor relationships, and led product development from concept through sourcing and launch. I've designed planograms and website layouts that had to work under real foot traffic and real click-through alike, built around how customers actually shop — and I've built the purchasing and forecasting systems that keep those programs driving sales and revenue after launch day.
My approach is simple: strategy should be built to be executed, not just presented. I scope every engagement around clear deliverables and realistic timelines, so what I hand off is something your team can actually put to work — not just a deck.
Outside of consulting, I run my own e-commerce business, so I understand this world from both the strategy side and the small-business side of building something from scratch.
